Q. How do I get involved in the Home Benefits Plus program?
A. To get started simply call CU Mortgage Division at (360) 539-4687 or visit their website at www.cumortgagedivision.comto obtain a mortgage loan pre-approval. Then call Cathryn Warren at the toll free number for Home Benefits Plus of (888) 603-9563 or click here to request participation. Please mention the amount of your loan approval, loan program, your loan officer’s name and the area you are looking to buy or sell your home in.

Q. If I am already working with a real estate agent, can I still get my 25% rebate from the Home Benefits Plus program?
A. No. You must call Home Benefits Plus to be assigned to a Home Benefits Plus participating real estate agent. If you already have an agent, you are not entitled to the 25% rebate.

Q. What if I want to sell my house and then buy a replacement house, can I get the 25% rebate on both transactions?
A. Yes! Call the Home Benefits Plus toll free number (888-603.9563)  to get started. You will receive a rebate of 25% of the commission on your side of each transaction. Typically, the seller pays the commission to both the agent representing the seller and the agent representing the buyer. As a seller, we can offer you the 25% rebate on the commission paid to your agent for representing you in the sale of your home. When you buy, we can offer you the 25% rebate on the commission paid to your agent for representing you in the purchase of your home.

Q. What if I don’t like the real estate agent assigned to me by Home Benefits Plus? Can I make a change?
A. Yes. Just contact your Home Benefits Plus consultant during the first two weeks and request a change. It is important that you are comfortable with your real estate agent.

Q. How do I get my rebate?
A. With your lender’s permission, you may receive your rebate either as a check processed after the close of escrow or as a credit in escrow, at your loan closing, towards your allowable loan closing costs.

Q. Do I get my rebate check from my agent?
A. No. You will receive your 25% rebate check from the Home Benefits Plus offices. Please allow up to four weeks after the closing of your transaction.

Q. Do you use discount Real Estate brokers?
A. No. You will be assigned a full service professional Real Estate agent. Your agent will negotiate on your behalf, give you suggestions on how to present your home for sale, will locate the home you are looking for and generally provide everything you need for your real estate experience.

Q. I’m planning on selling my house. Am I entitled to receive a rebate from the commission offered to the agent representing the buyer?
A. No. You will receive the rebate on the comission paid to the agent representing you.
